Information for Prospective Students

The subjects under the biology umbrella serve to introduce students to modern concepts in biological science, the study of life. In addition to emphasising the principles of the diversity of life, it uses the principles as a framework underlying the unity and diversity of life.

Biology 650-141 and 650-142 together prepare students for further study in the biological and preclinical sciences.

Australian Flora and Fauna 650-111 supplements 650-141 and 650-142 and is not required for further study in the biological and preclinical sciences. The subject is a prerequisite for Australian Wildlife Biology (654-207) only.

Biology for Biomedicine 650-121 and 650-122 are only available for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Biomedicine, and together prepare students for further study in health related professions or research into Biomedicine and related fields.
